Andrea Reed is amazing! I first met her at the bridal Expo in May of 2023. By the time I made it to her booth, there was no cake left to try! That was the first clue that Andrea at SweetCakes Bakery was amazing! I signed up for a cake tasting without tasting any cake that very day! I liked that she was local in lakeland, which is where I lived! I also liked that my cake, wouldn't need to be transported very far or very long since my venue was in Tampa. Shortly after the expo she reached out, and we began talking about my venue and my wishes for my cake before we even met for the consult. At the consult, I stated that I was concerned because my venue was completely outside with no access to AC except for the Bridal House, which at the time, I did not know that was where my cake would be delivered and housed before the wedding. (Our venue was all inclusive but, we didn't have much information and when we toured our venue, the coordinator said the cake would be on a table in the direct sun light. For reference we got married on June 14, 2025 and it was very very hot!) I expressed concerns that I didn't want it to melt and that I needed a baker that would be able to accommodate all the "things" I had just expressed as concerns. Andrea shared that she had never done that venue before, but, she was confident that she could make a cake that would "sweat" but not bleed. She even said, if we decide on flowers for the cake, "I'll use rice paper to make them so they hold up in the heat." She said she could freeze the cake the night before and drive it to the venue with the AC super low, and sit in the parking lot up until the cake cutting time so, that it didnt have any chance of being mishandled or melting. That was the moment I was "sold." I had never met a cake baker that was willing to do all of that just so the cake would be okay. Andrea did an incredible job with our wedding cake!!! We could not have been more impressed with her talent and expertise! She designed a beautiful cake for us that was more stunning than we could have ever dreamed of - she understood our vision 100%. So many of our guests said it was the most delicious cake they’d ever had at a wedding! Highly recommend.

I can’t say how amazing this lady is! SweetCakes Bakery Andrea is the best in the business! Not only are her desserts extraordinary but she is kind, professional, caring, attentive, and so much more! Andrea was FANTASTIC to work with. She created the most delicious and beautiful wedding cake of our dreams! She was always honest and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. She made our cake to serve ~100 people and the quality and taste was incredible. We enjoyed working with her, seeing her final product and would highly recommend using her services!

Just AMAZING in every way is all I can say!! Andrea with Sweet Cakes made my dreams come true for my wedding cake! Not only was the cake gorgeous, but it was incredible tasty! So many of our guest came up to us afterwards and told us it was the most incredible, detailed, and gorgeous cake they had ever seen. I only have amazing things to say about Andrea. She was professional, incredibly kind, listened to everything I wanted and just all around the best! Everyone should choose her!!

Andrea was so SWEET from start to finish just like her cakes!! Our guests are still raving about our wedding cake not only about how gorgeous it was but how DELISH it was too! If you are considering SweetCakes let this be your sign to DO ITTT!

Andrea went above and beyond with our wedding desserts. I had a change with my design and she was very accepting and willing to work with my vision. She made it exactly how I pictured it. It was delicious and our dessert table was a huge favorite. She had a box ready for us in our suite for afterwards which we enjoyed for breakfast. So grateful for her and her talent!

Andrea did such an amazing job on our cakes and desserts! From the moment we sat down to do our initial tasting she was informative and very patient with our decision making process! There’s a lot of things to worry about in your wedding day but Andrea wasn’t one of them! She came and sent everything up and I hadn’t even seen her come or go! But the table looked beautiful and my guests raved about the cake all night and I still get compliments to this day!

I have attached pictures from our wedding of your work of art! We were so busy the night of the wedding we didn't really get to take it all in. It was gorgeous!!! Wow! You did an outstanding job. The flowers were amazing, the colors were perfect - all in all, just SUPER! So delicious. Only one problem, it was all gone in two days! Lots of great comments from our guests about how tasty it was. Nice job, Andrea. We will not hesitate to recommend you to our friends for any events they need a cake or baked goods for. Thank you for making our special day so SPECIAL! BTW - we thought the way you did the questionnaire, the tasting and creation of the cake from you and Amy's ideas was amazing. Well done!
